newbie needs help Airstream 345

Just started updating a 1986 airstream 345. We have a GM 454 engine that just had the air conditioning compressor sieze up. blew the belt so now its just waiting. My fuel guage is running past the full mark, and had 12 volts on the guage wire. I have a starting problem, and had a coach battery blow up two days ago.

Can someone help me with the fuel guage problem, I'll take them one at a time thanx gizzyguy
