On my coach the wire loom was pulled so tight over the bracket, that it wore thru the insulation of some wires inside the loom causing the alternator to stop working. Once the wires were taped up the alternator worked fine.

Sammie, good one, you nailed this one on Post #2. I'll be checking my 12V cable routing soon. I do use those plastic cable protectors on my major power lines for cheap piece of mind. Thank-you Sammie
