Seen this several years ago! About the same time they had a plan out to remove the deck/trunk lid and build a camper from the trunk up and over the top of a regular car. Sort of like a slide in camper for a pick up.

How cool is that... I had a 68 bug with a 2 barrel Holly and a set of headers it would have pulled that no problem. To bad it never worked out neat.

I just wonder how strong that adapter bar is, clamped to the rain gutters? If it loosened, it would be catastrophic!

The name of it was Shadow and they were built for 1 or 2 years only. There was one in St Clair Shores, MI that I saw parked many times back then but only the outside. TL magazine had an article on them.
