Oil sensor for an Onan apparently hard to find or non existant
My general maintenance RV guy is having problems finding just the oil sensor for what he says is a fantastic perfect for my needs genny. He has even contacted on Onan itself on which it is back ordered
and pawed through random mechanic pals' junk parts boxes to no avail.
Other than that, my gal is ready for some new sneakers and the tag and we can go on a trial trip somewhere. One full year from her purchase last February.

Have you (or your mechanic) taken the old oil sensor and laid it on the counter of a good auto parts store? I find it hard to believe that Onan (Cummins) had a unique sensor made for your model generator. A good counter person should be able to find one that will substitute for your old faulty one.

6x16,
If it is one of the pressure lube Onans (it has a oil filter), then the LOP switch is available at any auto parts store. Just get any one that fits in the hole and has the same connection.
If it does not have an oil filter, good luck, then it is not a pressure senor, but a liquid level switch. Most of those are only used in little engines and not many of them. It is, however, common to Onans over many years of production.

I will let him know. Can't wait to let him know in fact.
I showed him one off Amazon but he never called back to tell me if it was right and I am going quite tired of being starting things they do not finish.
Yesterdays spring turns changed back into sleet, freeze and a 25% drop in temps in 2 and a half hours but when I had previously spoken to him on Monday to let him know not to plan to come check the a/c and a couple other dinky things, he made it sound like he has literally combed the heavens and earth.
