Onan 7000 problem
Our onan generator has been working great but last night we were on full hookups in a campground when the power went out. ...was still early enough to run the generator so I fired it up and turned the ac on.....ac came on for a second or 2 and shut off , generator still running, check all breakers and none are tripped even on generator, shut it down and decide to try it later, about a half hour later park power comes back on and ac is up running again .....today when it was time to go home I decide to try generator again, fires right up but no power to anything in the motorhome
Any ideas. ..?

As far as I know most generators won't stay running if they are not generating AC. This would be good news if this is the case with yours.
That would leave the genset Breaker, wiring, transfer switch, and MH breakers.

Transfer Switch is what I would check with gen running if you know how to check it with a multimeter. It's easy look at the wiring diagram for the transfer switch find the the side the gen is coming in from check for voltage there first then go to the other side of that contactor and check it there.
The set on the bottom left is my set up. Check the screws BEFORE starting then start the gen within a min. you should hear that contactor pull in check it then. Check across the black to white then the red to white voltage should be the same and the same on the other side of contactor.

Don't know what unit you have you don't say. Check around the drivers side bays toward the back, it will be in a metal box, and it might be labeled. It won't be in the coach or under the hood if it's a gasser. What do you have.

I looked for the easy stuff today like loose wires. 10 amp fuse on front of genny, no go
my breaker panel is under the fridge low fairly easy to get to ...hopefully that's where it's at

What's gasser got to do with it? Most transfer switches are in the coach, usually close to the distribution panel.

Didn't know where he might be looking or his experience so I mentioned if a gasser it won't be under the hood. Mine is a gasser and it is not IN the coach but in the rear bay under the distribution panel.

Try following the shore power cord . It will go to the transfer switch before going to the breaker panel. Mine is at the back of the cord storage compartment next to the generator. A real pain to get at.
