Onan Gen power loss

Ok my new problem ..

1994 Pace arrow 31 foot
Onan 6.5
starts good, runs good ..

Problem is when gen has a heavy load it will power down and run bad till I take the load off.

Example: fridge, TV run just fine add AC gen. starts to loss power ..Some time's it's ok - hit n miss both ac on it will run ok for a bit them loss of power
Seems when I just use a little power the throttle on the gen. is just off idle,
but when I add the ac it pulls the throttle full open all the way back.

I have had it run 2 or 3 hours or just 30 min when this happens

any ideas

I have been doing some reading and it maybe a Voltage regulator ? Donít know

My genny problem was different, but scary. I pulled the genny out because it was acting like a motor mount was broken. It turns out the elec end of the genny was full. A mouse had made a nest of insulation.

Is it just the AC or ANY heavy load? If just the AC, it could be the AC is on its way out or needs work like a new start/run capacitor. If its ANY heavy load, then you need to do a clean and tune-up on your genny. When was the last time you cleaned the rings and bushings? Or the carb? Your manual should tell you how to do these..

redo any electrical connections too.. cant hurt.
