Plumbing question

Without replacing all the water lines what is a good way to connect to connect to water lines? Shark Bites? I have a cut line and need to add a supply line for faucet.

Sharkbites are not competitive with crimp on joints on a per joint basis. The cost of the tool makes them competitive when there are only a couple of joints. You have to do the balancing depending on what you have available in tool costs.

Given my druthers I'd use crimp. Given my pocket book I used shark bites a couple of times. The other benefit is access. Sometimes there is little room to get a crimper into the space available. All the shark bite needs is a reasonable square end cut and room to hold the connector while you push the tube in.

If they are PEX lines, the SharkBite eliminates the need for the special crimping tool. If the lines are other plastic types, you might find alternative fittings and adhesives that will work. PEX in the USA is all made with markings on the lines identifying the standards under which it was made.

You might include RV info in your signature line by using the "User CP" tab at the top left of the page.

I believe mine is the polybutylene pipe....with the copper crimped bands at connections...not a big fan of this setup. I need to know if the shark bites will connect to this and then go from there. I will be switching all over this winter to pex line but need something for now.

I have used sharkbite to pex on one end and polybutylene on the other end with no problems.
