I have been working on fixing things... - Wiped every surface with clorox wipes, tilex and steam cleaned every piece of fabric... from stem to stern... smells much better!
- Fixed water heater... replace computer and igniter.
- Traced wires to fog lights, seat air compressor, radio, cb, and rewired.
- changed out most of the compartment lockers with thumb locks rather than key locks... and the two i wanted locked got combination locks.
- Went on the roof and sealed every seam with 3M 5200 Marine sealant.
- Took it to a heavy duty truck shop and had the engine checked out... everything was good.
- Took it to a generator shop and it was also good to go.
- Replaced the Battery Assist switch from momentary to an on/off switch, so when the RV is plugged in next to the house that the on board charger also charges the engine battery.
- Put in a 22" HD TV and Blue Ray player to replace the old TV.
- Replaced every ballast in the florescent lights.
- Replace floor carpeting and kitchen flooring
- Repair bathroom floor (water damage)
- (Wife) redesign interior color and look... more beach/crab theme.
- Stock kitchen, pantry and closets with everything for living in it.
- Installed a wired backup camera
- Replaced outside TV antenna with motorized raise/lower unit.
- Replaced step motor (still funny it was a wiper motor, advance auto)
- Added tire valve extenders.
- Blue ox tow bar and base for my Jeep (ebay)
Things still to do... - Replace the headlight units... some research i did told me they are Ford Escort headlight combo units from 1989.
- Replace the Fridge (electic only and old) with a combo gas/electic/12v)
- Fix the cruise control
- Paint outside with a new design... probably a professional.
- New Shocks (I heard Koni are good)
- Shower door (replace curtain)

And you said, when can you get to mine was ???
I wonder if your old shower is from cig smoker? Ours in the 82 looks like the same as the day they installed it. Honest I don't think it has ever been used. The Ptrap in the drain hasn't been hooked up and is clean like new. It appears to have shifted a little (enclosure). Not sure how I will get it hooked back up. You sure did a fabulous job. I really like the outside design also. Nice lines. Vintage the only way too go.IMO
Merry Christmas and a Happy New year and safe travels.
Tim

Our vintage (1985) Ford Fiesta B:
We had a lot of fun boondocking in the mountains with it.
First thing that went when we got it was the pink curtains and blinds.
It was lots of fun. You could get it into remote campsites and you could park it anywhere. Unfortunately it was a little small with me, the wife, and the dog. The wife kept on insisting on coming along... so we finally sold it last year. I miss it.
Wife wanted a full time bed so this year we will be hauling everything around with this.

All though we no longer have a vintage trailer, we still love to see the photos of the great old rigs and all of the work that has been put into them.
Keep posting the old photos.

Here's our 1987 24' Travelmaster
That's wife Susie, grandson Wyatt (3), and old man me (79) standing in front of our new-to-us 1987 24' Travelmaster parked in our driveway in December 2013, soon after we bought it.
