I like her. The vintage coaches have character

Once you work out the 'kinks', you'll have a nice rig there!!

I ran into this 1979 Southwind on a recent trip to Wy, it interested me because it is exactly like our first motor home from many years ago down to the exact couch and upholstery. Obviously the dented bumper is an add-on but otherwise very original and according to the owner still very usable.

Brought back a lot of great memories.

Pictures were taken with owners cosent.

Fibreglass forever!

These are a few shots of my 1969 Glastron MH which sits on a Dodge m-300 chassis. These were made by the people who built those beautiful boats. This unit sat for the last 13 years under a tree. The AC did not work, the radiator leaks, no brakes, engine finally got started but most valves were stuck, generator has stuck valves and no compression, tires are shot, exhaust leaks, two windows crackedm rotten floors in several areas, gas tanks full of garbage, nitemare electrical system, no sign of lp gas system. Dont ask me what I am doing with this thing? I have begun work to bring her back but am looking at two years work at least and then I will most likely sell it as I am not a camper! I will post pics as life moves on.

Cool

Gee's..Mine looked brand new compared to that one. You have your work cut out with that one. You may have to tear it down pretty far to get to where you can start rebuilding. I really din't want to rebuild this one i have but dw said we are!! Ok..Been told!! I would say that about 85% is done and i am down to two cabinets and a couple of minor items to take care off. I need to get off my buns and get-r-done! Dan

I do intend to gut it and then start the rebuild. My biggest challenge will be finding cabinets that I can modify to fit the MH as I am not able to build new myself. Oh well just one of the many problems to solve? Jim

Hi ljedik, I LOVE your rig!!! I am a sucker for the vintage rigs and when I 'move up' from my vintage TT, I am going to get a vintage Class C!

Thanks for sharing!

Here is a link to the photos of our 1989 Avion 34V and our 1979 Silver Streak (currently looking for anew owner). Both are great old trailers that nothing on the market now compares to the quality.

HERE

The new interior for the Avion was done a few weeks later.
