We have a bird here at the resort we are at it's called a Whirlybird.
Wasn't that the name of a helicopter? Or TV program? Anywho it sure is nice to look at.

This is our 34' 1988 Renaissance by ElDorado motorhome. Not many of these built just for 2 years. We love it. Built on a bus frame, all steel. huge basement storage. Fiberglass roof, aluminum sides and everything works well. many upgrades by the original owner. We have installed new tv's, satellite and new stereo. I recently retired and I love doing all of the little things to make it ours.

No windows on top, weather center on the left and tank monitors on right. Original tv was in the middle. 36 inch flat screen there now. I will post some pictures tomorrow. 8r19.5 tires. I put new Toyos on the front. Backs are next. They are old.

I was really drawn to it after looking at many and sifting through Craigslist. Original owner stored it inside its whole life. I just pulled the cover to work on it. Quirky things, custom digital dash, indicator LEDs for all the compartments on a schematic on the dash. Backlit with EL strips. Not really done in that era. All compartments lit and controlled by door switches. Common today.

It looks like it sets low in rear but that's actually the third driveway. Sits flat and rides really nice. Bigfoot levelers.

EL strips! My current and last Bird had those in the dash...ultra cool (and $$$ to replace if they go out)..on the 84 I did LED's when the inverters fried but I lost the dimming.

If you've never seen an EL dash it's a treat and back in the 80's was some real Buck Rogers stuff

Here's some pictures of the dash and the included manuals. It looks like I also have every receipt that the original owner ever had.

This shows the unusual cabinet arrangement over the bed. I just replaced the TV (it's 14" with DVD player). It's easy to look at in bed. Great storage on the outside. most are pass through.

You can see the tank panel on the left side of the TV. Weather Center on the left. Digital interior and exterior temps. Compass and humidity. TV is on a moving mount.
