help!!!!
I know nothing about motorhomes. I recently acquired a 1970 winnebago. I cant find any parts to it. I dont know which model it is. All i know is that its really short. Has a 318.3 dodge engine. Cant find any pics or info of it online. It has no leaks and runs great and interior is in pretty good shape which is why i see potential in it. The breaks need to be redone starting with the master cylinder all the way to the drum break assembly. Please help someone. Im sick of spending hours online researching but coming up with nothing. Where can i get parts? And what motorhome is this?

From the description, it sounds like a Brave. The Chieftain had the 413 engine.

Have you tried checking with Winnebago? Many here in the forum have reported an ability to get parts for older models from them. My guess is if you have the serial # available and give them a call they can give you all the information you need. Best of luck.

Contact WGO with your serial number and they can provide you all kinds of information. or@winnebagoind.com You should be able to find your manuals on the WGO website. Many parts were made in house and can be purchased from them.
Great you have a classic and it is in good shape. Try to keep the frustration level down as there is lots of help once you find it. You will have a wonderful time camping in your classic. It will be a conversation starter no matter where you go.

1990 Peterson Excel my wife and I bought late last year and last weekend we took on our maiden voyage. Very excited to renovate and update the entire inside after the essential repairs are done.

So after I fixed her all up we took her on a camping trip. She drove fine on the way there in about 90 degree weather. But on the way home it was over 100 and she was getting hot on the freeway. The previous owner installed a 16in electric fan in place of the old direct drive fan. I think the combo of old radiator and not enough air movement was causing her to get hot. We had to stop once for about an hour to let her cool down. So I decided to replace the radiator. I couldn't find a brass and copper 3 row locally so ordered an all aluminum 3 row off eBay from KKS motorsports $264. Then added to 14in electric fans that draw 2250 cfm. Twice the air flow if the old one. Also changed all the belts, hoses & thermostat. So far I've noticed a 30 degree difference in radiator temps. Headed to Tahoe soon so that's the big test. Climbing the grade.

This is very helpful I just got done taking my Toyota Dolphin up to Giant Gap Campground which is near the Tahoe National Forest I had to go over Foresthill and that is about an 8% grade in a real grind especially for my little 4-cylinder R22 engine so I had to pull over twice in the hundred degree weather to let her cool down. My mechanic put something in her radiator called wetter it's a radiator fluid that supposedly evaporates more quickly and create cooling but I'm interested in that fan solution thank you for the information and let me know how it works out

Water wetter is a good product. I would suspect your radiator or fan clutch might be the real culprit. I'm a mechanic and worked in the automotive business for the past 19 years. You could also have your radiator rodded out to. That's where they boil out all the stuff built up in it. If it flows better it will cool better. Good luck and happy camping
