Wow I like it. This should be awesome for your family and nice to see the kids working on it.

1989 Tiffin Allegro 31 Basement

New to us 31ft Tiffin Allegro Basement! Needs a good cleaning and updating. I have to chase down a roof leak but with these having an aluminum roof it shouldn't be too bad. Has new tires, running Onan genset. I paid $3000 and put a new transmission in it and drove it home 300 miles without issue! She will be a project but I love these old Tiffins and with the aluminum framing and roof it should make a great RV.

Awesome!! It's great to bring these old RVs back to life. It's great for those of us without, you know, millions of dollars to still be able to enjoy the RV lifestyle. I fixed my 1990 Bounder up and I'm paying less than $125/yr for registration and simple liability insurance runs me $100/yr. I'm not full time so old and cheap is the only way I can really have the opportunity to own one of these things. It's been a fun project, you can see pictures of my RV on page 120 of this thread.

Just picked this little gem last week for $3900 it's a 1972 Santa Fe dodge chassis with a 360. No leaks all original everything works. Got new tires, changed engine belts, fluids and a tune up. Going to do wheel bearings, tranny flush and breaks next. Our first rv, can't wait to use it.

Love the old Dodges, especially the metal grill on the 70-72s!

Me too, if it wasn't hand numbing cold I'd be out there every day.
