If it's on land you have access to...
There's got to be a manufacturer's tag on it somewhere...
Also (simplest first): look in the glovebox for registration/insurance/maintenance receipts/etc.
Look under the hood and on the dash for a VIN #,too- that and the plates run through the DMV might tell you something.

I would say by looking at it, it must be from the mid 60's.
Look for builder info inside all cabinet walls, near the driver's area on the wall, under hood etc. Please let us know what you find.

1984 Ford Triple E

Just boght my first RV! 1984 Ford Triple E. Engine runs great, tires new in 2009, all outer seams caulked in 2010, only 43000km! Sleeps up to 6 people with bed area in back, table turns into bed for 2, as well as upper sleeping area for 2. Has a fridge, stove, oven, 2 sinks, and a small shower all in working order. Lots of cupboards for storage space, and is clean. I got it for $2000!

Fabulous thread. Wished there were some old TC's here. TC's must be the underground area of RV's. On a 2100 mile trip only saw 2 hardshell and 2 pop ups TC's. Tons of everyhting else.

Thanks for everyone sending in their photos, really wonderful preservation of our history.

...and my hat off to the rivet man and his wing stabilizer, very impressive work!

I love this forum! It's great to see that there are so many people out there who are willing and able to preserve these great pieces of history. One of the challenges of owning and driving a vintage RV is that (if your are a DYIer anyway) it really tests your handyman skills. You have to be an electrician/ plumber/ carpenter/ mechanic. Last summer I became the proud owner of a '91 Foretravel 36' Grand Villa ORED.
I know compared to a lot of the coaches on this forum it's not "that" vintage but I have done a lot of work none the less. Mostly on the interior, I am getting ready to move on to the exterior now, I need to completely strip the existing stripes and recondition the fiberglass and re-stripe but hey, one thing at a time!
Anyway, meet "Moby"
