Here's my more recent camper purshase (Feb. '11). It's a '92 Four Winds 9.5. Still have a 5th wheel camper we use when my wife wants to go with me.

As for the interior I remember that well it wasn't long ago that ours looked the same. We just watched our local Home Depot till we found some Pergo that was returned and went on clearance. It was also one of the easiest things that we had done. If you've ever installed mini blinds at home before you might try that to update the look of the windows. And they are extremely inexpensive. We spent less than $100 to put mini blinds on every window. They also allow more control over the incoming light.
Sounds like your decals have the same problems that ours does, seems that your photo did a wonderful job of masking the imperfections.

I needed to revise our mileage, as we just took our first substantial trip. We drove approximately 1300 miles and averaged 8mpg. Our best was 8.66mpg on the first tank. That included mostly flat driving conditions with minimal wind and some inclines as we left northern California and entered southern Oregon. I have also been running a heavy concentration of fuel system cleaning on every other fill up and the performance of the engine and generator have improved dramatically. Our worst mileage (6.89mpg) on this trip was the second tank, which was 20% in town, 80% winding hilly road (leaving Grants Pass, going to Oregon Caves, then out to the coast). This trip allowed us to drive for extended periods over great distances. We also went solo with no towed for this trip, so I believe that 2,400lbs less weight probably helps out dramatically as well. To say the least I am very satisfied.

Well we made is 250 miles to pittsburgh and the bugger died in a tunnel. Luckily we kept it alive teasing the deep cycle long enough to get it out of the tunnel. After 4.5 months of hassles letdowns constant breakdowns, we are packing up out of the Stinkebago and hopping in an 04 chrysler convertible.

When 1 month, $1500 breakdowns dont last 300 miles, theres a problem. Mold stench, wet dashboards from leaking roof… oh the $300 porcelien spark plugs that didnt stop the engine from running too hot... I dont understand how people can find this fun.
