It reminds me of a MH that I saw being redone on a you tube video or some restoration program. An Argosy or something like that. I remember the chrome bars on the fromt of the motorhome in the program. I bet it would make a good conversation rig at the RV park. KW
OK I did some quick surfing and it might be a 1965 Dodge Travco. It also reminds me of an I Love Lucy program where Ricky and Lucy are pulling a trailer with I think a Mercury up some narrow mountain road. I don't know why but it just does. FUN! Love those Old RV's

It's a 1963 Travco on a Dodge frame. 318 motor that still runs and "beautiful" gold shag carpeting. Last liscensed in 1984 (plates are still on it) and it has a parking pass that year from the Illinois state fair. Has all the paperwork including the original sales slip.
Not for sale but the gentleman that owns it is getting ready to restore it. He's very good at this and one of his plans is replacing the worn out 318 with a Cummins diesel. He said he was looking forward to the time when he could pull up alongside an expensive rig and "blow their doors off". He's 70 and going strong.

Thought you all might get a chuckle out of this.

Jim

1979 eagle

Brand new, first time ever trailer owner. Liked the idea of a small, older looking trailer and ended up with this, described as 1979 Eagle. Anyone have anymore information to help me learn more about it? Manufacturer? Thanks

Pat, I'm not sure anyone clearly stated how great your coach looks and that they got lost in the shine. Anyway that is one well maintained nearing vintage status coach. I just had mine done by a local detail company here in SoCal-Mirror Image Details. The owner Mike Flores treated my coach as if it was his own as well did his team of young professionals. My 1983 Apollo Sceptre always looks good to onlookers, but I could see through the shine and see areas that needed some work, Mike took care of all of my concerns. Now that its back to like new, I may try some of the products that have just been discussed. Semper Fi, Dennis

Apollo Sceptre for Sale?

I just learned that their maybe a 1982 35' Apollo Sceptre with a Cat 3208 Turbo 250 HP for sale in the near future, is their anyone out there that maybe interested or know someone that would like to be one of the few, the proud, one of only 44 people to own a Sceptre?
This unit is the 27th and final one manufactured in 1982. To learn more about Sceptres you can see the story about mine at MotorHome Magazine -- Motorhome Reviews - RV Camping in the June 2012 issue and/or see my two YouTube videos 1983 Apollo Sceptre Part 1 and Part 2. These are photos of the unit in question-take a couple of years ago. Note: the unit for sale is NOT my Sceptre, but one of the only 44 ever made between 1982 and 1984. If you have an interest in this unit, please let me know and I will keep you updated as I learn more about it, when it will be up for sale and the price. Semper Fi, Dennis

Its sort of a popup

OK this is my first thread here. On the lookout for a nice older unit. Have my eye on a 1988 empress tripple E, with a 454 and nice layout... inside is nice, some roof damage but I suspect the idiots at the car lot have left the roof vents open. Use to own a HILO but want something bigger to travel around in with my wife and special needs daughter

Anyways the only RVin I do right now is with a 1988 Danish Combi... I pull it with my Gold Wing... pops up in less that 30 sex, allows me plenty of room for me and my passenger, and I can stand up to get dressed. Its all aircraft aluminum, with an added shield under it to improve air flow. I hate towing it my milage goes from 49 mpg to 44 mpg... its killing me

Here she is

here she is with the Goldwing

Camping

Ok I know ... can I show you some interrior shots... ok

The Canvas is in great shape... the metal rack on top is great for taking other stuff along, the cooler is great ... its been to the Arctic Circle twice and San Franciso once. After 27 years as an Armoured Officer, I like sleeping in the Combi because I can stand up to get changed. With the Empress... well I will finally see how the General staff live

Cheers

Gank

Very nice! Is there any tail wag pulling that behind the bike? Do you have stabilizer arms from the bike to the trailer tongue?
