This is my first RV it's a 1977 Diplomat II. I'm having it towed home tomorrow and then I'll get to work on it.

You (i am sure) paid hundreds of dollars to get it towed and the driver was rude. Don't you love how people take pride in their job now a days?

Oh well, the rig looks good now. I cannot wait to see the progress.

It was the cheapest quote in town by a lot...........I guess I got what I paid for..lol

on the plus side AAA should cut me a check for $200 so I'll get most of it back

What matters now is that it's home and tomorrow I can get it up in the air and get to work

When I bought my MH the first thing I did was to rip out the carpet. Found a lot of hidden water damage.

Here are pictures of our '85 Winnebago 30' Chieftain. We got it at a good price and it seemed in good health. However, the previous owners had simply neglected it. After they spent literally thousands of dollars in the last few years they gave up and old it. In the two years we have owned it another $10,000 was spent on it. However, it seems like the problems never stop, if it isn't one thing it is another.

We tow 24' race car trailer and "The Pooh" does a great job, until it craps out. I would urge any RV owner to have GEICO or some other good insurance that has the towing feature. They have happily paid to have ours towed home twice, at a cost of over a grand.

We still have not heard from anyone on the possibility or method of removing the fresh water tank. Surely to God you don't have to butcher and destroy the cabinets and woodwork?

Kind regards to all,

Folis

Why are you wanting to remove the fresh water tank? Needs replacing?

Unfortunately, MHs were never built with ease of access in mind. The cabinets and woodwork were always the last thing built, going in over carpets, headliners and whatever., so yes, you may have to disassemble quite a bit.

I've been dragging my feet about posting a pic of my "main" trailer 'cause it's so small I thought I wouldn't be taken seriously...
But it's bigger than that last little cutie, so here goes!

Francesca, she's adorable! Does your wee trailer have a name?
