Averaged 5mpg and it ran well. Small exhaust leak on the right manifold that I think is leading to some fuel issues after its warm and its idling at a stop. Vapor lock maybe? It will shut off and won't restart for 15 or 20 minutes. Gonna fix the leak this winter and adding rear air bags.

Yeah, that sounds like vapor lock. She only has the mechanical pump on the engine block, right?
If so, an electric in-line fuel pump added to the line coming from the tank will help eliminate the vapor lock issue.

Actually, we had already installed a Holley electric fuel pump. But between the 440 and the extra heat from the exhaust leak on the right manifold I think it's still related. I came to a stop at the registration for the festival and got out and left it running. As I was in line to get our pass I could hear it start to die out..and then it shut off. Waited about 20 minutes and it started up and headed into the rv section. We went about 100 foot and it died out again. Waited 20... Then made it to our spot.
The drive home I didn't have any issues at all. When I had to stop at stop lights towards the tail end of the return trip, I popped it in neutral and gave 'er extra fuel just to be safe. No issues.

Thanks!
The group got together and fixed the exhaust manifold leak today. We also replaced the aging muffler with a smithy glasspack and a glass packed chrome tip. The 440 is sounding great!

Your RV looks very similar to mine inside- I was wondering what you used on your ceiling and how you attached it? THANKS-AL

We used dry erase board. It's a nice bright white, cheap/readily available at Home Depot and you can write on it! Attached with small sheet metal screws into the steel framing.

We finally got around to the rear airbag install. What a difference!! The exhaust seemed a little too tight for comfort so we chopped and moved it forward. Hopefully this warm weather sticks around for more Titan projects!

What a great day to work on the Titan! The weather was in the 60's and we took the opportunity to weld on some leveling jacks. We also insulated the fuel lines and put heat pads around the doghouse and generator bay.
Come on spring.... I'm ready to de-winterize!

Good work! I'm thinking about using that same stuff on the doghouse. Do you think it helps a lot?

Thanks!
The top of our doghouse gets really warm on a long trip and from the online reviews, this stuff is top notch. It's meant for firewalls...heat and sound.
It'll be a few weeks until I get the Titan out for a long drive... But I'll give an update with impressions after.

Well- finally had some nice weather and tested this out. It's great. The rug on the doghouse didn't even get warm during a 60 mile round trip drive today. Two thumbs up
