Question about toilet upgrade

Hello all! I'm the proud owner of a 1986 Holiday Rambler Imperial 40 footer. She was all original and in need of some TLC when I purchased her. We've replaced the carpet with laminate flooring, replaced the ceiling throughout due to massive leaks, removed the overhead bed and replaced with dog beds, removed the under bed storage in the master and added more dog beds there, installed new blower motors in both roof ac units, sealed the roof, and installed a toaster oven in place of the microwave oven. We put a new microwave in the bar. We just replaced the old plastic potty with a dometic 310. My problem is the pedal is so touchy! It only travels a 1/4 inch to turn on the water, then another 1/4 inch before the ball valve starts to move. It isn't open enough to allow for full water pressure even before the ball moves far enough to start dumping the water. Is there any adjustment on the foot pedal?

If you have the dometic porcelain toilet, unless they changed it, you just lift up on the flush pedal instead of pushing down to fill the bowl.

Dometic 310/320
Add water by slightly pushing down on flush pedal
Flush by FULLY pushing down on flush pedal

NO there is NOT an adjustment other than YOU getting use to how much pedal
When you need to flush....mash pedal down fully/one quick motion so water valve fully opens, get max flow to rim holes and into bowl.

Add water........should be done PRIOR to using toilet.
Otherwise just FLUSH it

Flush pedal only moves one direction....DOWN
Slowly & partially down to add water
Quick and FULL to flush

Mk, they've changed this since we got our Dometic Sealand toilet.

Dometic Sealand, beyond that I couldn't tell you. It came out in 2007 and came with our Bighorn. The guide on the inside of the toilet lid shows push down for flush, lift up for fill. The 320 is nearly identical to it (Which is what I bought for my Amerigo restoration).

The flush is on the left hand side as well and it has an extra plastic trim that goes around it to hide the base for some reason.

Pedal on left side.....that is a 500/510

Lift UP to add/push down to flush

Different toilet/model

Thanks for the responses. We've been adding water after the flush, so it's "preloaded " and ready for the next use. It's just that the pedal only moves a 1/4 inch, literally, between the no water running and the ball valve opening positions. Very hard to let water in without cracking open the ball. My only real complaint is that I should have bought a shorter potty! 18 inch rise is a bit too high for comfort.

Something you can always look into is a sprayer kit, that would give you another means of filling the bowl
