Question re: Generator repair....

I need to replace the starter on my Onan 7000 generator in our Bounder. I can't seem to find the manual which I know is somewhere in our MH.

Does anyone know if you have to drop the generator to replace the starter? And if so, what is the best way to do so?

starter replacement

i just had my starter rebuilt i had other issues and had to remove the set from the motor home . That said after having done it i think if you are patience it could be done through the service door on the bottom you will have to remove the fuel filter and use wobble extension to remove the bolts . taking the whole set out is quite a job if you have a fork lift or loader its not to bad my front grill is removable with a few screws and bolts good luck take your time.Mike
