rebuilding genset door

the door on our M/H is made of fiberglass or something like that and its not real secure. im thinking of making one out of plywood or something like that so i can put locks on it . i want to put the jack and related things in there and the way it is now it can be stolen.
has anyone done this?

there is a post here where someone repaired a compartment door didn't look to hard
just removed the door the trim then the skin/fiberglass and cut plywood to size
