Redesign bedroom

This is our bedroom. It's not very functional for us. The regular sized bed isn't very comfortable for two people. I want to rip that out and put in two twin beds. Under the bed is the fresh water tank, pump, a heat vent and the circuit breaker panel. Under the closet at the left of the picture is the water heater. The top two drawers under the closet are functional as well as the closet it's self.

My plan is to rip out everything except the over head cabinets, the water tank, heater and pump. Then I'll have to make the frame for the bed smaller and relocate the circuit breaker panel on the new framework. Ripping out the closet and building a bed on that side should be pretty easy. Then I want to put a closet (or the existing closet) between the two twin beds.

Has anyone done this? It looks like a big job to me. I have heard of it being done in bedrooms with the design that I have. Any pointers?
