Should finish with the floors today. Wish I would have put a transition strip between the bathroom and the galley. It's been a real challenge getting all that to work out.

Those steps are beautiful just the way they are. Would you consider finishing the Oak in Clear? (I think its Oak)?

I second that the contrast looks very rich. Just my opinion. Keep up the good work

I couldn't find any oak wide enough. I tried a piece of cottonwood but it was a little bowed so it wouldn't lay down right. Our only local option left was pine.
We finished the floor Saturday. Today I need to install a few strips to hide some ends next to cabinets and walls. It's not nearly as nice as the maestro (Ernie) but I'm proud of it.
It's obvious now that we need to refinish the cabinets. Where does this end?
BTW, thanks everyone for the compliments

Question for you. We have been seeing a lot of those cabinets but not sure what it is for/does? Its in your picture on the left there is that cabinet what is that door for? Ice machine? I think too small for a dishwasher. We have been looking at newer MH and see a lot of them.
The lite wood your installing on the steps is Pine? I sure thought it was oak. Still very nice.
Thanks for your time, Tim

Tim, that is an ice maker. We never use it. It's brand new and does make ice but we prefer to buy bagged ice. It taste better to us. We do use it as another freezer from time to time.
