Reframing 1978 Southwind

Hey everybody! Thanks for all the great information and reads!! I have been looking through all the posting and happened across Mike&Amy's posting about redoing their Southwind. It looks like I have plenty of water damage that will need to be repaired (mostly on drivers side). I will probably need to take most of the skin off the drivers side as well. My question is what is the best method to take the skin off without destroying it. I have looked around and nothing seemed to completely answer the questions I had. Also, the skin that is on there right now has some very tiny holes in it. Is that something that should be replaced completely or can it be repaired with something like bondo if I create a solid backer for it?

I'd recommend trying to peel back the siding slowly, curling it up around a 2x2. You should be able to loosen a part of it, and use some spray stripper or adhesive remover to help to pull it off.
As for repairing the holes, as long as you've got a good backing behind the metal, sand it down to bare metal and use bondo, you should be just fine. My .02

Thanks Visinedrops! The MH is definitely going to need some renovations. I have a bunch of pictures in the works and will get them posted as soon as I resize them!
