Replacing Bounder seats
After my latest trip I decided it was time to get rid of my Flexsteel seats. I am replacing them with second row Honda Odyssey seats. I know I have some modification to do to adapt them to the base and maybe add a "skirt" around the base. We have an Odyssey that has 200,000 miles and the seats look new and have always been comfortable. I bought 4 tan leather seats ($350) from a 2010 honda that were pulled for a handicapped conversion, they are as new. If anyone has thoughts or previous experience, now is the time to speak. A few years ago I adapted a 3rd row leather seat from a Tahoe into a Samurai, so I am not afraid.

If your seats are manual, all you will need to do is weld a plate with the same four-bolt pattern from the existing pedestal on to your auto seats, below the sliding mechanism. When you get the Bounder seats off, you'll see what I mean.
If they're electric you'll also have to adapt the wiring harness.

Well, gee. Those seats look kind of like the ones in our '05 Ody!! It only has 101,000 miles on the odometer now but some 30,000 more towing it!

This looks like a great idea. Do you have any pictures of the mounting plate. The FlexSteel seats in my Newmar BayStar are very uncomfortable. I don't want to spend $2000 or more to upgrade to a higher cost Flexsteel that might be uncomfortable too.
Thanks,
Jerry

Comfort?
Also wondering how comfortable the seats are compared to the original FlexSteels?

I will get some pictures. They are super comfortable. It would be nice to have the adjustable electric base.
