Replacing fuel tank sender

My fuel tank started leaking. Looks like a bad factory weld and then someone tried to patch it with "liquid steel"!

So I removed the tank and sent it in for proper fix and QA test.

I the meantime I will remove old hose and sending unit with new parts. Sender working but easy to do now might well do preventive maintenance now and not later.

Any idea as to where to get a sender for my tank?

JCW did not have correct replacement sender.

I found one at GMPARTSGIANT for $179US but they don't ship to Canada.

25090535 - Genuine GM SENDER,FU

Got a new fuel pump and sock from local CND GM dealer. Sender was working so going with old one.

Here are the original part nos. for sender etc:

Sender 25090535
pump 25168719
sock 25055460

sending unit

I had to replace my sending unit on my 89 Fleetwood bounder. Dropped the gas tank and it wasn't a simple job. I got my sending unit at Auto Zone, but when I called to ask if they had the part for my MH, they said they don't have parts for MH's. I finally learned that when you look for parts and you're calling around to auto part stores, you just give them the info regarding your engine and the year of your MH. It works every time. Good luck!
