It has been many years since we owned our '95 Country Coach Magna (Cummins CTA 8.3), so I can't remember whether it had just a Pac brake (exhaust only), or whether it was linked to the Allison trans. to automatically downshift the trans. at the same time the exhaust brake was activated. We are thinking of selling our "03 C.C. 42'Magna and getting back into a more "basic" coach for traveling. There is a '93, 36' Magna for sale with the same engine and trans. (although it is a 5, rather than a 6-speed as we had before). If anyone can give me this information about the engine braking on this model, I'd appreciate it.
