Rewording of ECM test connector question

I asked earlier where the connector is on a p-30 chassis 1993 vintage. Having gotten no response so let me ask--Does the unit have one? You are supposed to be able to withdraw trouble codes by connecting 2 of the terminals and the check engine light flashes out the code.

Not sure on your Rv but on cars in that area yes

OBDi port could be close to the steering column on a GM and under the hood on a Ford.

Using the information provided by you and an inquiry to Winnebago I found the ECM Test connector screwed to the steering column support up under the dash. To do this required a couple of mirrors and a LED light on a flex stick. It was totally unaccessable for use in its location so I had to unscrew the one screw I could get to and turn it 90 degrees. Could not use the paper clip trick to connect two terminals so borrowed a device ready made to do the same thing from an old timer mechanic. Found out that my check engine light had been coming on due to a lean fuel condition, which I am attuributing to the timing being way advanced when I bought the machine. (Which by the way remember to use #5 plug to time to when using the bottom timing indicator)Thanks again for your responses.

KAt, there is a good P30 group on yahoo that gives us with those older chassis alot of good info... You might check it out for future reference.... Darel
