Shakedown Cruise TODAY

Well after a solid few weeks of upgrading systems and improving esthetics without going overboard, today is the day we hook everything up, head for the National Forest in Idaho, and see if it has been worth the effort, or if we will simply all die in a cataclysmic fireball on the side (or middle) of the pavement.

The last week was the most productive, upgraded a bunch of wiring, replaced our potable water pump with a new one, replaced the sink faucet, doubled the battery capacity, and more.

Also did some major improvements to the exterior, covered the scars with some diamond plate yesterday, and boy that looks so nice. Almost respectable.

Of course, yesterday - in the process of adding the diamond plate "skin" I lost some of my own, got careless and sliced off the pad of my left index finger. Jeebus that hurt!

Never got a chance to test out the interior LP systems, guess we'll do that at the campground. Bought a fire extinguisher just in case. LOL

That diamond plate looks great. I need to add that to my old trailer. Good luck on your shakedown!

Arrow Looking good...

Top of the day Jeff.
Please keep posting and let us all know how the shakedown cruise went. I've only recently became an RV owner for the first time so anything about what somebody else is doing to make theirs better or keep it on the road is great to see. I'm not able to use mine right now due to my location so this helps figure out more about this stuff.
Gotta love the shiney aluminum you installed.
Thanks for sharing.

You are so lucky to be heading out on a shakedown run!! I am just itching like crazy to be off down the road with ours and hubby says to be patient and we'll finally get to do a couple of short runs and then, perhaps, he will allow for a long road trip.

I hope you have a fabulous time-- all that aluminum sure is shining in the pictures, people are going to hate you for the reflected light in their eyes. LOL!!

I look forward to reading how it went.
