Starfire Windshield

A friend of mine has a 1987 Starfire and someone busted the right side of the windshield.

Anybody know a source for one of these?

When I busted a side window out of my rig I made a cardboard template and brought it down to a local glass dealer - not familiar with your rig - just an option.

Thanks everyone.

The windshield on these has a compound curve in the lower corner, so it's not as easy as just getting one cut to fit unfortunately.

Good news!

I just called the people at the link above and they do have a listing for an El Dorado Starfire. They requested the part number from the bottom corner of the glass as well as a measurement of the glass at the center. They said that it should be 36" tall and 44" wide at the center point. They do have them available at 4 different warehouses in the USA.

I will post back once I measure this one and let everyone know if it is correct and a price.

Thanks!

The window I busted had similar curve - it cost more than std window cutting (almost twice) but they managed fine with nothing other than cardboard template. They matched tinting based on piece of original glass provided. Just an fyi in case you need a backup plan.

Just to follow up, the friendly folks at

RV Glass Solutions. The Glass Experts, in Eugene, Oregon

actually have a windshield in stock! They are going to set it up with a local installer so that I just pay everything over the phone with a CC and they will settle up with the installer.

All this for just under $1,600

It's a little more than I was expecting, but it is what it is.

I appreciate everyone's help.

Now I just need a back bumper...
