Storage Doors

Are there door/hinge kits available if one were to add a storage compartment below the chassis? The original generator on our Transtar was gas, though our G30 chassis was ordered with the 6.2l diesel engine, meaning there is a spare gasoline tank behind the passenger door, below the floor. Since the previous owner took the generator out, we are going to set up a solar array on the roof and use the generator compartment for batteries, meaning I can remove this redundant tank. By doing so, I end up with big empty spot that I would like to make a new storage compartment, accessible from the outside. I can weld up the box itself to the frame/undercarriage and cut back the siding of the house where necessary for the opening (especially since the filler neck for this tank is sticking out of it now), I was just hoping to find a kit with the trim pieces, door, hinges and lockable hardware. This is a relatively small RV and more storage is always appreciated.
Anyone?

You can see the chrome filler cap in this picture, just below the red "Private Property" sign (which is covering a big gash in the aluminum and was never really sealed, so there's something else I will have to remove and repair). New compartment would be approx 2' long by 18" deep, maybe 10" high judging by the rough dimensions of the tank there now.

I think that sounds like a great idea. I would start shopping at a RV wrecking yard for something that would work. Although ugly an electrical/plumbing access panel might work. Amazon has a bunch of them as well.
