Skirting advice

Does anyone use skirting for their rv? We're looking for something to keep the dogs from going under the bus and out the backside. Currently we're using a piecemeal system of rabbit wire and dog x-pens. We need something with a little more class for the RV park, but not looking for anything permanent.

Well, it's taken a little longer than we thought, but we're finally moving to the lake today!! Renting a spot for the month, all the fishing you can do!
On a side note, our water pump is going out.Any recommendations for a new one?

I'm sorry, yes, the fresh water system pump, not the engine water pump.

I suggest you look at your existing water pump and identify the brand and model number. Then google it and you should be able to locate either the same model or replacement models. That's what I did when I needed a new one and I was able to find the replacement model. I'm guessing that it's probably a shurflo brand but could be something different. Good luck!

That's exactly what we did with our furnace blower motor. That Google cost us $98 for the motor we installed and $407 to the RV guy to adapt our furnace to burn correctly with less airflow from said "replacement " motor. Think I'll end up taking it to a shop. Thanks for the advice though.

Fresh water pump is like bubble gum...lots of brands that do same thing.

Most are a simple 12 volt motor with 2 wires and simple screw on hose fittings.

Tractor supply has them as well as many other sources.

Brand does not matter.

Take a photo and or write down the brand and model data along with anything else on the old one and call either tractor supply or good hardware stores.

Rv places too but they usually mark up more.

For install you will need crimper and butt splices or wire nuts.

Well, moving to the lake proved a very wise and well timed endeavor. We moved on Monday. By Tuesday, there was 2 feet of water where the bus had been parked. By Tuesday night, there was 3.5 feet of water there. By Thursday all 4 routes out of the park we lived in had been closed due to flooding or washed out bridges/roadways. North Louisiana is flooded worse than any year in the last 30! Now the floodwaters are headed south. Please keep Louisiana in your prayers. Here's a picture of my sons yard, the home we moved out of. This is the lake here after the rains. Compare it to the earlier pic I posted and you can tell how high the water came up. We had 22 inches of rain in 36 hours, with 15 of that in the first 12 hours! Click image for larger version
