So far, the only problem with this remodel is that we have to work 9-5 to pay for it, cuts into time we could be doing repairs and maintenance! 😉 Putting on a roof coating next weekend, then back to finish the ceiling and flooring.

Do your homework on the coating.

If it already has been painted or the material is thin the paint like stuff may not get it.

Look into offerings by dicor and liquid roof.

There are very different types of products on the market and suitability depends on what you have and the condition.

Good luck!

It looks like we have the original rubber roof with 2 coats of other roofing material over it already. 😞 It appears to be salvageable, no flaking or cracking. The only leak we've been able to find so far is around the cb and TV antenna areas. Removing the TV one and patching around the other. Thanks for the info, it'll come in handy!

I know it's normal to want to make it your own and customize the hell out of it but I would keep it as original as possible and save up the money for whatever unexpected expenses pop up. Since it's an old coach I'm sure that you will run into plenty of those in short order.

No special customization here, other than redoing the ceiling due to water damage, and replacing the carpet with linoleum product of some sort. We'll take out the ice maker and trash compactor just because we won't use them and probably use that space for more storage.

Wow I never would have thought it had a trash compactor. Does it have a washer/dryer for laundry too?

Either way when I hear the word remodel I think about those shows where they gut a house and redo everything.

Ice makers go for about 100 bucks or place it the garage as they make great stays good ice for a song.

Have one in our shop and it is great for cold drinks and coolers

Not the OP's, but shows some of the interior features she's talking about.

Yep, trash compactor, ice maker, washer, dryer, garbage disposal, built in food center with blender, coffee grinder, shredder, meat grinder, food processor, can opener, knife sharpener, ice crusher, and stand mixer, complete bar, built in vacuum, basically if it was an option, it's on here!

That's it!! That's my bus! Except mine doesn't have an oven. Go figure? I have a 4 burner top and a microwave/convection oven above it. We're planning to do the same thing to the floor and backsplash! The current backsplash is MIRRORS!😳 What where they thinking?? Thanks for sharing the video!!

Not even sure if this one works yet. It's a dometic. Kind of leary of them, I've heard the fridges can catch fire on you. Looking into alternative for our original's replacement as well. This things going to cost some $ to get back in shape, but we'll get there, one system at the time. Gotta get the roof sealed before anything else. 😉

The more I reply, the more I think this remodel is getting bigger! First, repair roof and water damage. Then do flooring because carpet old and smells not so nice. Then remove ice maker and compactor. Then replace backsplash. Then??? LOL😋

Ours has uline and we found one that someone pulled and they are great.

If it has a compressor good no compressor maybe not.
