Tail light troubles

Hey all, my 1992 HR started having tail lighting priblems....it's a sad story so sit back n read on, ....when the turn signals are on they work...until you turn on the headlights ...then all the tail lights flash, from the turn signals back to the tail lights and so on, all four tail lights, including the backup lights, are blinking when you turn on either turn signal.....if you apply the brake in all of this it slows down the process but that's about it.....I have tested and jumped different places in the grounding system to no avail....any brain power you can spare would be greatly appreciated...

I thinks grounds are the problem. If the turn signal switch is sending positive voltage to the lights and there are no grounds in the lights, that positive has to go back to the battery through any available grounds. It’s finding it through all your lights which is why they all are lighting up and blinking. Check all ground wires in the engine compartment and look particularly at the frame to engine ground strap. Take it off and wire brush the connections. Corrosion can build up and cause strange problems. Did this just suddenly come up or have there been small issues leading up to this. My experience is that these troubles usually come up suddenly. Add frame to engine straps with 2/0 wire cables and crimped on copper lugs you make up and add body to frame straps. Good luck.

Sounds like Paul nailed it. Get a couple of wire leads with clips on them and start adding temporary grounds to see if things change.

I'm on my 4th MH and each has eventually had light problems. All when solved were either corroded bulb sockets not grounding properly or corroded connectors.

Good luck.

Thanks all for the replies, the ground issue is resolved and ALL lights are operational once again!
I made up a grounding wiring harness...so to say...for the left side tail lights, there are four, made a secure clean connection to the frame and all is well once again.

The “all lights flash when turn signal activated” screams “bad ground”.
