tank capacities
Just bought a used '83 Cruise Air Georgie Boy II class A about 3 months ago. Got all the bugs worked out, except the whine in the stereo system, & I would like to find out what the tank capacities are for the holding (grey & black) & fresh water tanks. Would also like to find out fuel tank capacities(main & aux). Anyone got any suggestions? I've got all the chasis & model # for everything, I just don't have any info on this & can't seem to find it.

Cary welcome to irv2.
If you look at the surface of the tanks you may find the tank size stamped on the side.
If you go to the Vintage forum stickies you maybe able to find a Owners manual from someone.

If you have a gravity water fill, fill the fresh tank using a bucket of a known size. If not, fill it with a hose and then drain it into the bucket to measure. Doesn't take all that long. You can use the drain measurement with the waste tanks too.
If you have a main and aux fuel tank, fill one and drive on the other til it's empty. Switch tanks and refill the empty one and you will know how much it holds. Repeat the process with the other tank.

As far as the stereo goes make sure the ground wire is hooked to a solid point on the frame. I am assuming that it whines when the engine is running. If the ground is good, try removing the 12 volt hot wire and extend it straight to the plus teminal of the battery to see if some or all of the whine dissappears.
