Testing the LP leak detector

My leak detector is located under the fridge and it has 3 positions

When I turn it Off I have a green light on
When I turn it on I have no lights lit
When I turn it to Test I get a red light a green light and a loud Beep

I took a propane torch (unlit) to test the tester. I set the tester to on and let gas hiss out and nothing happened, I blew the hissing gas all over the tester and into the slots and still nothing happened.

Did I do something wrong or is the gas in my Torch's Blue Gas Bottle a diff gas then what is in the LP tank????

It is the same propane. What you did should have worked if it is a gas sensor. Maybe it is a CO sensor only and not a combo. Just a thought.
Getting there is half the fun - take your time and enjoy the scenery.
