Thetford Bravura Toilet

I have a 1988 Pace Arrow, I believe the toilet has been replaced before. The flange bolts are at 5 and 11.

I have a leak in my toilet and I also get odor, it is a Bravura. I removed the toilet and replaced the flange seal. still have the leak.

Is there a breakdown on how to disassemble the toilet completely? I want to replace the water lines and the seals.

I can't tell where the leak is. I can feel the water first at what I believe is the bottom of the basin area, near the blade I believe. The toilet holds water.

Once I have it out again, is it possible to hook the toilet up to a garden hose to check for the leak?

I would like to change the position of the bolts in the flange, the Bravura allows for a 3 and 9 installation. How is the sewer pipe connected to the tank? Glued, clamped, or what?

Thank you in advance for any feedback.

i sure wish i could be of help with your problem,,,not much worse than a tolet problem,,---i would just replace the whole unit if it were me,,and sanitize the tank,,make sure my vent pipe was clear of obstructions..

best of luck..

I have a 82 PA and A Thetford toilet. We took ours off after we bought her. Took it to the back yard and gave it a good cleaning bleach and garden hose. We just went ahead and ordered the guts and replaced them. That's what was leaking on ours. I'm not sure how they are attached to tank. I just know it don't leak. That was 6 years ago. I will look at the brochure too see if it tells how its attached. I'll get back this afternoon unless I dose off looking out over the lake...

I went thru a similar ordeal with the 1989 thetford toilet 2 years ago, replaced some part and, not long after had other problems, ended up mounting a flange spacer, turning it to the 3 and 9 positions and sealing down with silicon and ss screws. I then put a porcelain one in. Much easier to clean and looks much better

Here is a link to Thetford Bravura parts list and manuals. Ours has been almost trouble free. Biggest problem is screw coming loose in pedal assembly. Some blue Loctite solved that problem.
