Tire Conversion for P30

Does anyone know what size radials should I put on my new 86 Allegro? The dry rotted ones on it are 7.5x16LT. What metric size radial will fit? One tire shop said 215x85x16, and another 235x85x16. Is there a metric size range I can choose from to fit these 16in. rims? I think the rig weighs 3.5
I found these nearby, what do you guys think?

215/85/16 are 30.4" in diameter and have a 663 RPM
235/85/16 are 31.7" in diameter and have a 637 RPM

What is the diameter of your 7/5/15?

"LT" stands for "light truck", which a small Class A is. "ST" tires are for "trailer service". You need to find a new person for tire advice!

I think I'm going to drive south and pick up a new set of six 215x85x16's for $580

I asked the guy for the DOT year and he said they are from 2014. Assuming they were made in the first week of 2014, that puts them at a maximum of 1 3/4 years old. Is that acceptable for unused tires? or should I keep looking for 2015's?
