Looking out at the back yard I can start to see a hint of green as well as a bunch of leaves that fell after I swept up last fall. While the warmth is welcome I look to the future of cutting grass and running the mosquito gauntlet.

Rebuild

Good Afternoon, Gordon, I wouldn't mind cutting the grass right now, (well at least once ). I had so far a good day, put down some scrap paneling over the mud and installed a foldable door railing. Got up to 33* today and 100% sun , surprise!! so took a couple of pics to go along.

Terry - I am with Tim on this one. This will happen all in good time.

I can only imagine the name of the voice calling you onto the roof. Would the name of that voice be "Future Pain"?

The hand rail really dressed up the look of the door and finishes it off very nicely.

I would not be wanting to climb on the roof with all of the mud around. When I did the roof in the shed I tried to be really carefull to wipe my feet when stepping off of the gravel and up the ladder. I stepped off the gravel onto a rug where I wiped my feet and then onto the ladder. Even with the wiping I ended up with a faint line of dust footprints on the roof. Could only imagine the mess if my shoes were muddy.

Take it easy. I am really getting my mind around chasing you and Eleanor down at some point in the future and doing some rides. Those plans involve you being healthy in the near future.

Also hoping to get close and meet up with Curtis. I really hope is is close to where they grow sweet potatos. One of the things on my bucket list is to go to a sweet potato festival.

You guys are no fun , Gordon, look forward to doing some rides also, think it would be fun, if I got to the roof and nothing happened, DW would kill me anyway . I have been warned , and I take her very seriously. I have been watching the weather very closely so will plan accordingly, I think maybe a couple weeks out, by then maybe good to do light excursions.

Woooo Hoooooo!! Terry got to work on the TH.

Happy for you that you felt good enough to do at least a small project. I am in the stay off the roof camp though. But I'm sure the Misses has already warned ya.

So when does the Cant Leave It Alone Club (CLAC) meet?

Terry, agree with Gordon & others on this^^^ take it easy, heal up 100% and you'll be good to go before you know it!

Gordon, the Golden Festival is near Curtis (Rhome to Golden, Tx is 130 miles.... that IS close in Texas ) and is held in October. The link is below and has most of the info you need:

Good Evening, Jay, That's my feelings exactly . Eleanor has made it perfectly clear what I should do (in this case not to do) . I think it'll be a couple more weeks before I venture. I just got off the phone with a buddy of mine that has one of those portable stair units, (like you see in stores to get things off high shelves) he has donated it to me to use in order to "safely" get on the roof. (In a couple of weeks). I'm gonna say the first meeting of the CLAC is SOON .

Thunderfoot, Until Gordon mentioned it I had never heard of the sweet potato festival, it sounds like a fun time.

Terry, rvpopeye's right... plenty of space down here. Instead of snow this is what we had on the ground on our ride today!
