Snowing again. Mother nature obviously likes white better than shades of brown with hits of green.

Going to have a great day. Hope you all do as well.

Gordon, I have to say we had snow flurries this am not much just could see them in the air, it WILL end soon, I hope this next week here is to be cold and rainy all week ending in maybe a upper 50's day we will see. Everyone have a Happy Easter, we always have way too much food, DW has taken on the cooking for all holidays yrs ago, none of the kids have taken it up yet. Have a great day today and next.

If not for the surgery we would have done Easter. I more so than Janet are worried about catching a cold or virus that would postpone the surgery. Janet puts on a brave face but I can imagine her reaction should she be postponed once again.

Invited to the daughters but they are all suffering with colds so not this year.

I like doing a smoked turkey on the grill for any occasion we can. I like to brine it prior to smoking. Janet has a recipe for dressing (stuffing) in a slow cooker. Have to stop cause I am starting to salivate. Next year all of the stops will come out.

Gordon, I can see the logic of no exposure to colds ect, I did the same just stopped go out in public ect so as not to catch something. wise decision. DW does a ham, then we have ham and eggs, ham salad all the different things you can make from ham after, yum. Just got done making (DW) a cherry cheesecake. Is it time to eat yet .

Hey Gordon, tell Janet if the doctors don't do a good job everyone here would be glad to take on her "restoration" project.

AND if they really mess up , we'll be glad to do a rebuild on THEM for her!

Thanks Popeye. I offered to do the surgery myself the first time she was postponed. I was with the ski patrol for years and taught some first aid. Said I had a pocket knife, a sterile dressing and a couple triangular bandages. How tough could it be?

Got the look!

We have a top notch doctor so we are really confident of a positive outcome.

But I may pass the message on to stress the importance. LOL

Ham - Yummmmmm. Still salivating. No respite in sight.

So far the Easter dinner here at the park will be ham, lamb(fixed New Zealand way), sweet potatoes, Brussel sprouts, desserts, potatoes, green bean casserole, veggies, and I don't know what else, everyone signs up on a sheet to bring something so we don't end up with the same thing. This bunch plays hard, and we do eat good, it is very hard not to put on weight. One of the reasons I have to stay so busy.

When we are at the resort we belong to two groups: Circle and Patio Family.

Circle is the group down at the river. We built a two level patio. Spring Summer and Fall the upper level is used. Winter the lower, warmer level is used. It is the 4pm happy hour crowd. We have a potluck generally every two weeks. There will be about 30+ people there.

Patio family is a group of friends near us. We built a large patio between us while we were bricking in our patios. We pot luck two to three times a week. One of the fellows is really spontaneous and will start a dinner by simply walking out of his unit with something in hand and say "Look what I bought at Costco - we should cook something". We are used to this and prepared so about an hour later we are sitting down to a really nice dinner.

Sounds like we should be starting a food thread. ILF - I Love Food.

Terry has got to get started on the TH soon. This thread is going down some dangerous but delicious paths!!!! LOL

Good to hear Janet will will be in good hands with her doc. Hopefully she'll be back up and running as fast as Terry !

Just finished Easter dinner ,,,"I ate the WHOLE THING"
the table looked more like Thanksgiving than Easter and nobody left room for desert but we ate that anyway.
