Terry,

You and Eleanor must be beyond excited at being so close to trying out your TH. It has been a HUGE project but look at what you both have accomplished. You know this rig inside and out and there is never anything you cannot fix or change on it. All the work will soon be worth it when you get to camp.

Meeting with some of the people on this thread is also going to be great. Jerry and I enjoyed meeting Curtis and Melissa and in Sept we meet Frank. Some day it would be great if all of us could meet for a week of camping, meals, and fun.

Enjoy your new toy. Lynne

Frank, , to be honest we haven't even ordered the tub and surround yet , we have been just busy doing the stuff "necessary" to use the TH. Might have to wait until next month. Lynne, Yes we are, I'm more the practical one of enjoying seeing something that I built actually work, I used to build race cars, I mean really build them from the ground up, just a pile of tubing and parts, then to see that car for the first time go out on the track and get up to 120 or more miles and hour, that's a rush no drug could ever give me, this is kinda like that, just a little muted, (and alot slower). it'll be great meeting some of the people we've been talking to for over a year now. Jay has invited all of us next year to his place at the 4th of July, that would be great if we could all make it. Have a Great Day All.

Lynne,
Rita and I are excited and looking forward to meeting with you and Jerry , We are planning on being at Jay's the 4th of July, hope that you can see your way clear to be there also, I know it is quite a jaunt for you. We will be at Branson,, Missouri the 1st of May, so it will only be around a 450 mile jaunt for us, we will do some sight seeing between there for a couple months. Then head back to Ohio.
Terry,
No problem on the tub, I take it that you have something to use in the meantime? if not there is always the campground facilities. We reserved site 1 at Beldin Hills Campground from the 21st till the 25th, so whenever you can make it, just let me know, we are going to try to meet with 2 other couples that live in the area when we are there also.
Frank

Would like to be in Oklahome for the 4th next year also. Within 400 miles for me, with an overnight in Rhome to maybe see Curtis and I have a nephew that lives there. I would like to get there early to see if I can help in any way.

Still see great work on the TH Terry. Do hope to get to meet with y'all somewhere down the line.

Rebuild

Good Evening, Frank, we have reservations at the campsite , we are overlooking the pond, didn't give a #. We will be there on the 22nd. We technically could use the tub the old one is installed just so we could build around it, it is discolored so we are replacing it. We also have reservations for a site up in the Adirondacks on the 30th thru the 3rd of Sept. Ron, that's great if your coming up on the 4th we are planning on making that also. I did some wiring and installed the combiner box for the solar, got the battery hold down done and a battery disconnect installed. I built a set of stands that I can use to stabilize the rear of the TH and also hold the ramp up as a deck.

Lookin good.

Ron,
Glad to hear that you are planning on being at Jay's also, Not sure what we are going to do, we have a rally in Branson the 1st week of May, then will probably see what Jay needs help with to see when we will head there.
Terry,
Looking good, stands will work just fine, nice job on the Combiner box. See you on the 22nd, it will be GREAT. Glad that you can use the tub, lets you be self contained if need be. Looks like you will be in 29 to 35, the parks aren't that big that we can't walk a little bit. Really happy to see that you are going to be using the TH more than a little bit.
Frank

I've been following the thread and enjoying reading it every day.

Passed by an RV dealer yesterday and thought of your rebuild. They had a Toy Hauler on display with the back end open. On another forum several members are restoring Airstreams and have had great success with using Krylon plastic spray paint to recoat discolored bathroom fixtures. The rattle can kind. What have you got to loose if you try this. It is reported to hold up well after several years of use have gone by.

Interesting idea Sam. Of all the canned paint, Krylon is my favorite. The paint is good, but the spray can itself and nozzle is far superior to the others. It is much easier to get even coats applied without runs etc..

I recently found I can order 6 packs of Krylon from Amazon. I use a lot of the semi-gloss black on welding projects.

Good Evening, Sam, welcome and thanks, I may try that suggestion even if its temporary, it might make it look better until I can get to replace it . Lloyd, I have been doing that also for years, I just buy the cheapest usually Wally World, used to use it in the body shop to find high and low spots too. Just got back from the shop my son works at, we serviced the TV, replaced all the belts 5 of them, all the filters 4 of them, checked the front end out and looks like I should have an alignment. And of course the pinion seal has just started to leak so we need a new seal for that. Have a Great Night All.

Sounds like you are nearing the travel part, YAHOOOOOOOO!!!!! That plastic Krylon is supposed to work really well on plastics, I guess it is formulated to etch into the surface so it doesn't peel off. It would be worth a few dollars to see if it works, gives the bathroom a more finished look and maybe save you the bucks for the new tub.
