Hey Lloyd;
I think I may have a line on a couple sponsors. We may be able to pick up a contract from Viagra and/or Depends. Now we just have to figure out whether we are coming or going!!! And who will be the star?!! And how many in the supporting cast? Ah - the possibilities.

Terry - so far all we have in the budget for salary is all of the product you can use during the shooting of the commercials. Tentative based on signing a contract.

All joking aside it would be great to get to see everyone in person. Our issue is the limit on US days. We have to carefully husband our allowable days so we can have some time in the summer for bike trips and miss most of the winter in Canada. Rumor has it that Congress is working on more days but will have to be patient.

Best part of the group is we are mobile. We should be able to find a place (or places) where most if not all would be able to get together. There has been some success in getting together and it will expand as time goes on.

Man you guys are funny, keeping me laughing every time that I open this up.
bap,
We will do our best to get by your way in the next couple of years. We have a rally in Elkins, WVa in October but we have to be in Florida 3 days after it is over to start our winter workkamping, maybe next summer after Jay's, some of the group can stop by on our way back east.
Terry,
Knowing you from this thread, you probably will never be done with the TH.
Frank

Good Morning, You guys certainly are a blast, I can tell this is going to be fun. Gordon, that really is nuts about the limits the Gov. puts on staying here, on the other side I've been watching a Vlog on You Tube with this Canadian trucker, (Trucker Josh) he delivers alot down here in the states but I've never been to Canada and the footage he shoots from his dash cam of Canada is beautiful, I guess you get this predisposed idea about what something looks like and that just blows it out of the water, I would love to do a trip in Canada. Bap, I can see it now walking around a campsite, and telling someone "you could really use that or why don't we do this" yup, probley throw us out for sure. Frank, I'm not sure if something like this is ever "done". There is always going to be little tweaks here and there. Bap, I am planning a trip that should take us down that way hopefully next year. Well going to wash down the TH today its got a couple of spots that need sprucing up.

Going along with Terry I have observed that there will always be something to look at no matter where you are. I do not mind travelling through long vistas of prairie, desert or mountains. If you have an open mind and look you will find something to see. Many folks are impatient for the big vistas and miss many of the subtle views that are just as beautiful because they are small and subtle.

Was talking to a fellow the other day and mentioning that fact. Told him one of my favorite views is grain fields blowing in the wind. Looks like waves on water. His response was "which way is the wind blowing?" Hopefully the wind is always at your back but sometimes it wont be. Like you cannot travel downhill both ways!

Yes Canada has some beautiful sights. One of my favorites is Hwy 93 (Banff/Jasper Parkway). Miles and miles of mountain vistas that take my breath away. Passes close to a glacier. Try to make the drive every couple years.

Terry - sounds like you are finalizing the last bits in preparation for your outing. That is exciting. Great to see all of the effort result in the finished product. It will work well for many years to come. It will come down to stiffling the CLAC'er impulse. Time to go out and use the stuffings out of it. When you get to planning a trip to Canada I hope you will include us in your route. We will have a place for you to stay and perhaps can travel with you for a bit to show you some of our sights.

Gordon, that would be great, we will put it in the bucket list for sure . When we plan our trips Eleanor is always finding little out of the way places where the tourists don't go, we traveled one year on route 6 in Penn. that had the most interesting places, like the Zippo lighter factory, East Coast grand canyon ect. she will stop and take photos of things that most just drive on by, one of my favorites is seeing a field of sunflowers all in bloom, just blows the mind.

And when I'm in the middle of one project which has now turned from being a small task into a much larger job - I find three more things that need to be addressed and remember one or two items I did not get in my last trip to Menards (which BTW is a 75 mile round-trip excursion)... Exasperating some times..
Glad that I am not on a super tight timeline yet..

Terry - your thread is one of the best on this website and we appreciate your taking the time to document your build.. You've inspired us all...

Randy, Thanks so much. Its been a fun trip so far. I thought I'd post a pic of how the garage will look when we are traveling without the bikes, I have furniture from the donor 5th wheel that I adapted. the couch is a jackknife sofa, I built a base that I can use the E Track and fasten it to.

WOW - that is all that I can think of to say. WOW.

Perhaps a small trailer to tow the Harleys behind the TH is in order.

Well the limits sort of make sense in that it is to determine country of residence. Generally speaking international law has you pay taxes in your country of residence no matter where you are a citizen of. Otherwise we would all be claiming to live in some country that does not have taxes.

So internal revenue and immigration have a big interest in this. Border protection also is involved but they count days differently and they do not want us staying more than six months at a time. Revenue and immigration look at 182 days in a calendar year.

So we keep track and follow the rules. Can make life a little less than convenient but we are hoping that congress, the senate and the president sign off on more time.

Good Afternoon, Gordon, Thanks, maybe a bike lift on the new TV . I can understand why they have the rules in place but just seems that there should be some exemptions. Getting some hard thunderstorms now.
