Lloyd is right about the setup in the picture. The TV is will be a great unit to get around in when you are not towing the TH.

Lloyd, I think it would be tight but would be great to get a Wing and a Focus to travel with you. Trailer might be a hassle but the benefits would be priceless. Do you have a 2 or 4 foot v-nose?

Good Evening, Lloyd that is a very nice rig, a little too much for my pocketbook, but I get alot of inspiration from those rigs. Eleanor has to work the rest of the week, so we are leaving Saturday morning, she took Monday off so we can spend the whole weekend. Gordon if it works out it will be self contained, the body that I have I thought was 10', is really 12', it is a fiberglass cargo box that is appox. 7'6" high inside . It will be real easy to add windows and pull the rear roll up door and build in a rear entry door, now all I need to find is a truck camper donor, that equipment would fit nicely. I haven't got my battery monitor yet, but I found this on Amazon, you plug it in a 12 v power plug and it gives you a read out of your batteries, It'll work for now.

Terry,
Those Toter Homes are nice, a lot of the full time circle track guys have them and also some of the drag car guys. allows the trailer to carry all the race cars and associated parts and still have the living quarters, but man that wheelbase makes it awfully hard to get around. A 12' box behind won't be too long, especially with the hitch behind the axle. So you will still probably want to shorten the wheelbase on that truck you showed us. Are you thinking of opening up the back of the cab and the front of the box to make it a walk through? You shouldn't have any trouble finding and old 10 or 11' truck camper to use as a doner, you see a lot of them just sitting around rotting away. You could even use another small trailer like your doner trailer that you used on the TH.

Good Morning, Frank, I remember my days driving Tri Axles and pups it was a you know what getting around with them, first time I pulled into the lumber yard I almost took out the scale shack , I learned real quick to pull up on the rear tag axle so it would turn . I do plan on shortening up the wheelbase, as it is right now its way too long. I do plan on opening up between the cab and box, kinda like a Super C RV. will make it easy to get around from inside to drivers seat. Are you getting rain in Penn. looked like on the radar, we are supposed to get it tonight into Fri. morning. yup I figure this fall I'll find something to use as a donor, as long as it has an air conditioner and all the appliances we are good to go, like you say there's alot around, I have a lead on a free one now I have to look at .

Terry - I think you could just continue the TV renos on this thread.

What is the wheelbase of the new TV? Do you know what wheel cut it has? As I recall IH seems to turn quite well.

Hi Gordon, I don't know the wheelbase right now, the company I'm getting it from had to continue to use it until they get their "new" truck back from the shop, the transmission was giving them trouble. If it turns like the truck I have now it will turn short, I can turn shorter with the Int. then my chevy PU. If no one minds I would continue on this thread the build of the new TV.

Terry,,,, I think "We" started.....

We are in design at this time. I also read that procurement is underway. In the project life cycle these are some of the most important early steps!

Good Afternoon, Lloyd, Yup I guess we are . I hope to be underway on this before winter hits, ( oh no here we go again ). The only fly in the ointment would be if the co I am procuring it from has problems with the replacement.

Hi Terry,
Yes it rained off and on all day, cleared up later this evening. Looks like I will be leaving later than 9 in the morning for the New York campground, I sprung a major leak in the back of the hot water heater, I will have to at least see what is leaking and try to fix it before we leave here. We will still be in Friday, just a little later than planned. Looking forward to seeing you and Eleanor on Saturday when you get in and set up.
As long as this thread is, do you want to continue it, or start a new one? I can't sleep tonight thinking what I will get into in the morning, I hate that.
Frank
