Terry,
Looks like you now can move the body around so you can work on it and get it ready to install on the tot'r. Can you fit it inside? or do you have to work outside(or under tarp) like you did on the TH?
Rail,
yes on the chicken lights.
Frank

Hi Frank, Nope it won't quite fit inside , the plan is to build the floor/platform and install it where it sits on the trailer. I'll build the platform in the shop and install it outside. Then I can install the body on to the Tot'r.

Curtis, I saw that somewhere and a time when I was still in the Marines came to mind, I was in North Carolina and they had a couple inches of snow, they started closing roads and the Base closed down , here we where big tough Marines and a couple inches of snow shut our base down.

Hi all, I just got caught up. Glad everyone is doing good. I have been extremely busy.

Yeah that's the south for sure, here in Huntsville we close down before the snow even starts.

Terry is the outline of the old cab about the right size for the pass through? It looks like it might be close but may be a bit big from looking at the pictures.

Good Morning, George, I haven't had a chance to really look at the front of the box after I took it off, but I'm thinking that I may have to keep a small pass thru, need to do some measuring. Predicting rain today, so not sure what's going to get done .

Good Morning Terry,
Sorry that you can't fit it in the shop, that would make things easier on you, but as we all know you work well around any problems that are thrown your way. Can't wait to see the frame.
Frank

Good morning gang!!!!
Well the work on my camper "Fortress" is pretty well complete and we're loading up to leave on its maiden voyage on Sunday.
Where are links to our blog that I hope we can keep up with as we go.
Start with the September archive here:
http://randarsworld.blogspot.com/201...1_archive.html
And then the rest from October is here:
http://randarsworld.blogspot.com

Sorry for the Hi-Jack Terry...
You sure seem to have a lot more energy than me these days.
I may have missed it but -- I am curious about how the mounting will go of that body. Will your frame of the truck need any additional bracing to keep the flexing down or will that be taken care of by the body you're mounting?

Randy, Great to see you starting off, , no problem on the Hijack. Take care and happy trails. I am building a frame out of steel that will go inside the body, there will be frame rails the frame work will be welded to, then the whole thing will go inside the body be screwed and bolted then the whole thing lifted onto the Tot'r. The unit will then be bolted to the truck with U bolts. The part of the Tot'r that is getting the body has a double frame, that and the extra frame rails on top should stiffen so flex won't be a problem. That's the plan for now, You know how that goes .

I found something on another forum , thought it might be interesting to the rest of you here.
Modular RV , the guy built it all from scratch (sound familiar ? ) tube frames and aluminum skin. The front module is a nice camper with solar and the rear mod is a garage/shop for a couple of dirt bikes and kayaks/canoes etc..bolt on /off of the Isuzu flatbed , use freestanding or on any other truck. The kid's good !

http://www.cheaprvliving.com/forums/...atch-with-pics

I'm still in the brake job process , got all the parts , sure wish I had a nice shop where I could tackle it , waiting on an appointment at a friend's truck repair biz.
