Definitely, I sure wouldn't be spending winter in the cold if I didn't think that way, At 91 there won't be that many years left.......although her sister made it to 101 !

Popeye,
I agree with the "ate too much", Dad is 89, and he joined us for Christmas dinner here at the park. People that went back home for the holidays are starting to get back here for the reat of the season.
Have a great day all,
Frank

Good Morning, spent yesterday visiting an old friend who has seen better days, great visit. Well getting ready to pick up the steel for the rear body and sides , of course its 20* outside and they are predicting 1 to 3 " of snow tonight changing to freezing rain . might warm to middle 30's rest of the week so we might be able to work on the body. Catch all later.

Freezing rain and snow in the same sentence is not a good thing. Take care on the drive. Getting the steel is exciting.

Brrrrr, 18* and dropping, did I mention I dislike this weather? Picked up the steel and got most of it inside, what's not inside is under a tarp. 14 Gauge 4X12 and 3/16 4X8 plate steel is more than I can pick up , and move inside, it stays on the trailer until ready to install on the deck, plus some gets cut in half so that will make it more manageable. Snow and ice on the way tonight, hopefully not too much, Popeye looks like your under the gun up there too. Have a Great Night all.

Popeye, sounds like your getting more than us, that is UNLESS the track of the storm changes, I like how the weatherman covers his a$$. I feel sorry for southwest right now, I can deal with this. Woah steel and ice don't mix . after I build the frame I'll roll it up on pipes and 4X4s. The sides will be another challenge. But by the time I cut the doors out it should be lighter.

Dang Terry, sorry about the weather. Seems like your ready to really start the fun fabricating part, and now your halted with cold/snow/ice. Bummer!

I'm having trouble sitting still here, can't wait to see what you build.

Good Morning, Well just sitting here, still have some freezing drizzle, I guess it'll keep up the rest of the day, got out the bib coveralls, guess winter's here . I have in the past ran salamanders blowing in the general direction to work in, better than sitting around, little slower to work in those conditions but doable. Going to the shop in a little while to start cutting tubing to "stage" the job. You never know it might stop raining, and freezing, might get up to 40* tomorrow, but due to the elevation I'm at it's usually 10* colder than what they predict. Tim, any heat is always appreciated , by the way I hooked up to the flatbed 5th wheel trailer to pickup the steel, hitch worked very well . some of the roads I have to go on are pretty rough I never felt the trailer bouncing like normally. Have a Great Day

I'm with Lloyd in the anticipation. Be careful when working in less than optimal conditions. Would not like to see the project go to 'hiatus state' while you recuperated from a slip.

Would like to help with the warmer weather but it is 0 here so will try to keep it.

Good Afternoon, The post thief is getting smarter I clicked to save it and he took it . Oh well, Gordon, I'm more mindful of falling, after I took the last dive off a load of steel I have more steel in my left hip and leg then a little bit. Doing what I do here is inherently dangerous, climbing on truck chassis without beds and climbing ladders ect. The problem is I've done this most of my life so take it for granted, thanks for the reminder its good to think about it. getting some work done inside the shop, trying to get organized for the next stage of the project.
