I get butt connectors from Del City. And they have the 2 to 1 butt connectors which work better than the connector DieselTech showed in second picture of last post #4170.

Those heat shrink butt connectors are found at any farm store, or marine parts place! And the liquid elec. tape finishes the job nicely! Sorry, have not been on much lately, have a buddy and his wife visiting from the states, so been very busy playing tour guide! Rail!

Yes I have seen those at Tractor Supply. Well I have the body pulled back I now have room between the cab and box to install the pass thru gasket, needed about 3 or 4 inches. Used my ratchet straps after I loosened the hold downs.

Feels cold just looking at it. I would have some cardboard creepers under the frame, a skidoo suit on and extra mitts. And still feel cold.

Lloyd, those were available on amazon.com. NAPA has similar ones from Belden Wire I believe. Big range of prices for the same item.

Gordon, I do have the cardboard creepers out, but dang it they keep falling apart, cheap china cardboard . I also have my Carhart bibs and coat, and have to keep changing gloves because they get soaked. Temps are a balmy 33* so everything is a sloppy mess. I haven't taken video so far, so still pics will have to do . My helper likes the heater, when I turn it on he won't move.

Good looking helper. Looks like he knows how to keep out of the way. Can't have too much of that.

Still pictures are good.

Gordon, My helper's name is Satchel, he's supposed to be to my son's but he resides with me and Eleanor, as my son is busy with work ect. and he would be home alone. He is a real old guy 12 years old so he's a little slow and loves to just follow along. Doesn't talk much ether, even when I ask him if I'm doing things right.

I have a cardboard creeper,,,all american , a caterpillar muffler came in it. Those ARE made here , right ?
Somehow that creeper seems to last longer!
You don't suppose not using it much has anything to do with it ?

The roof is leaking again , I do have a new gasket but I think the AC will have to go. Those gaskets just are designed to fail !
Maybe I'll try installing it with some putty tape underneath this time.

A Fantastic vent or just a piece of painted plywood seems like a much better leak stopper though...
I still will need 6 tires 16 1/2" wheels , so might be looking for a set of 16s first
And then shocks...and maybe some valve cover gaskets.
That will be it for mechanics. (Famous last words)
Then MY total rebuild.$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

Nice poochie , my Dalmatian was a heat-a-holic too !

Popeye, yup, maybe next year, I haven't been to Maine in a couple of years. I like a challenge, if you haven't noticed

Terry,
Nice start on the body, I used straps like that to slide the tanks on the frame of my trucks when I needed to.
Popeye, you are little too far North for me to help, but if you were to move a little south(like 12 to 1300 miles south), I would be happy to help with your rebuild.
Frank
