Hi Gordon, yes once the wiring is in I can insulate, a small heater should warm things nicely, and I won't care whats going on outside!

Here's the other half of the "project" the hauler, it has a story all its own. As I have said I like old things, this truck started out as a Sheriffs command center, needless to say it never hardly moved but it was kept right up to snuff in "case" 1985 2050 S Model with less than 30,000 miles. a friend found it and bought it for the box that was on it, I bought it from him. I put a 72" sleeper on it and now I need to take the high top off and make it a flat top, (right now its 12' 6" high. But thats a story for a different thread.

How high do you expect the front of the trailer to be when hitched up? Doesn't that "high top" help cut the wind for the trailer behind it?

I figure I should be around 11', I do plan on building a wing for on top of what was the sleeper,(I like the looks of them, don't know how good they work) it was a double bunk (one on top of the other) what we are going to do is put a sofa sleeper kinda like what you find in a van rv, for any time spent away from the TH. We plan on putting a small reefer ect. also. basicly making it a big extended cab. It will be easier to drive around with when we arn't hooked up. Thanks for asking!

Beamisl, Thanks! being recently retired I kinda treat this like a job, ( one I like!) so I work at it every day doing something. Today I worked on the hauler. this week I should get the axles (keeping my fingers crossed) then I can move it! I really can't believe the size this thread has got to.

Terry - it is because it is an interesting thread. You have "put it out there" and are gracious about listening to advice and incorporating different ideas.

It will be interesting if you start the thread with the TV. I would add the TV to this thread and have them progress together.

Hi Gordon, If its ok then maybe I'll just add the TV in along. it is as well as most things I do I guess "interesting" I just never thought about it before. I just built what someone needed and went on. I thought about putting this project here because I don't profess to "know it all" and hope if someone is watching they can catch something I might do wrong or suggest a better way or product. I try not to be controversial but yet say my side of why I want to do something, then analyze and pick the best way, there are alot of very informative people out there, and its nice to pick their brain. I am really hoping the axles come in tomorrow, thats my last big part that needs to be put on outside.
