Good Afternoon, SMC, Nice hauler body, I like your ideas .........but, there's always a but, right? I don't have alot of room behind the taillights to French them in, there's a storage box behind them. I also can't come out too much further because I have already set the distance on the receiver hitch, If I was to build the bumper like that one it needs to extend at least 4"? maybe?. I have built in on the back side supports for the rear piece so to put another set on the outside would be overkill even for me . That being said I do like the pictured body, so many ways to go about building one of these, I've looked at alot of pics that's for sure. The eyebrows over the lights are nice, not really sure they are needed, I've drove/owned a bunch of trucks and can't say that I've broke too many clearance lights, and these were on "work" trucks. Always appreciate other views, Mine are not always the best that's for sure. Got the latch on the genny box changed, it'll look like the others now. Gordon/Frank, okay, I see I'm out numbered on the visors , I do see the point of the shading. Good idea on the break away hookup, a little built in fold down tie down .

Great Job Terry! I am with Frank and Gordon about the two plugs, my F-250 had that, one by the gooseneck hitch in the bed, and two, one flat, one round, by the bumper hitch! For whatever trailer you hooked up to! The eyebrows are a good idea too! Stay warm! Rail!

Good Morning, MK, Thanks!, Piker, Rail, Thanks, I think I'll install two trailer plugins , and see what I have for building the light eyebrows. The genny box and fuel tank is done, ready to be installed. 28* this AM, might have a few snow showers today .

Terry,
Looks like you are moving right along on the Tot'r. Once you get the outside done, of course, then you still have the inside to layout and finish, lol. Of course it will be 1st class craftsmanship as always. Looking forward to following the rest of the build.
Frank

Terry - I am with you on the minimalist look. Not meaning to outnumber you as you are the one who is building it and driving the unit. If you do not break lights why would you add things that are not really necessary. I do like flush lights.

Good Afternoon, Frank, its getting there, (the Tot'r), I figure I have to get the exterior done, then the TV can get used even without finishing the inside, and I can take my time, (like that'll happen). Gordon, you guys can't out number me (I live too far away ), actually I really do appreciate the input, I've always said to everyone to hop in any time with suggestions. Haven't got much done today we had a little snow, couple inches, 29* right now, just too nasty to work outside right now. So we went to town and resupplied the items that we have used up like grinding wheels, bolts, welding wire ect. that stuff just don't go down in price .

Hello Terry,

I first looked at your thread when you acquired the Toter. I went back through and looked at some of the pics of the Toyhauler. I decided I was going to read the thread from the beginning. About a month ago, I started and read what I could, when I could. I just caught up.

What a fantastic job you and Eleanor have done to the TH. I have wanted to learn about the structure of the rv, so thank you for all the detail pics you've put together.

I admire the craftsmanship you show in your work. And, how great it is for all the experience and knowledgeable suggestions that everyone is sharing here.

The Toter is looking good and I'll be tagging along waiting to see what excellent fabrications you'll have on display.

Rich

Good Morning, Thanks Rich, When I started to build and decided to start posting it I didn't really know what to expect, it certainly has evolved into a wealth of info for me, as well as I hope for someone else who maybe thinking of doing something on their rigs. We have worked through several problems that could be used in any rig out there. I started to video for the same reason, what and how I do things may not be the best way, but I try to show at least one way how to do something and that you don't need a fully equipped shop, most of what I do is outside. The unexpected result of starting these projects are the friendships that have evolved, we "meet" here and on the "Goodmorning" thread almost everyday, some have now met in person, and we are planning a get together this summer of any that can go. Thanks again.

Terry

Well we are fitting the generator compartment, making sure I measured right. Will mark the holes to drill the frame next.
