Good Afternoon, Well helped a friend out that was having trouble with his furnace, needs parts so for now that's done. Got home and warmed up the garage, laid down the first coat of white on the bumper, tomorrow I'll sand and put the last coat on, wait a few days and sand and paint the clear, bunch of steps but I'm pretty picky when it comes to paint.........even for a bumper. This is a pic minutes after spraying so the paint hasn't started to smooth out yet.

Terry - the bumper is looking strong.

I would consider putting a simple pin stripe across the top and bottom to highlight it. Possibly the bottom pin strip could bump up on the chicken lights to accentuate them.

Gordon, that's not a bad idea, (pin stripe), I haven't done that in years ether , you like to test my skills! LOL. When I stopped building motorcycles I stopped doing paint, the last bike I built I didn't paint, (was very disappointed too, the painter was a "famous" bike builder, said then never again)

Well last coats of paint on the bumper.......done, still have possible pin stripping to do and clear coat. In the middle of winter there is always one fly and if your painting they will find the middle of your paint.

Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww
Spray him up he'll blend in..............

When he hardens up a light scrape with a razor blade should do the trick with a light extra coat after....

Sad about the fly. Perhaps he'll die!

More thoughts on pin stripe. Perhaps just a short piece on each end, say about 1.5 - 2' top and bottom, shorter on top. Just enough to break up the white and to blend with the flames.

Actually no problem on the fly , he stuck and didn't wiggle, so after the paint sets he gets the boot with a pair of tweezers, its when they land and drag and wiggle around that's bad. Hmmm, hafta think how I will do the flames to see how the stripe can blend in without looking like an add on.
