Good Morning Frank, yes I have lots of clearance between the frame and sidewalls and between the tires themselves, the only one (and an important one) is the bump clearance, that one is tight, just not sure how much its going to end up at yet. right now its 2.5" Dexter says 3". Here's a couple of pics of the reinforcement that Dexter recommends.

Terry, you should be really proud of the work you've done so far.

Time to get it weighed?

Thanks HH, I haven't had time to think about it , but I guess I am, when people ask about it locally I tell them about going to this site, and look at mine and all the others that do some pretty amazing things. First I have to get tags and then baring bad weather I want to get it weighed on a regular (Cat) truck scale so I know what all axles are, then I know if I'm putting everything in the right spots and not putting too much in one end or the other.

Wow Terry and Eleanor! She is beautiful! Great work and am so enjoying this thread. I come home each night to see what else you have done and what great info you are getting from other people watching. I have got to see this thing in person one day!

Thanks Lynne, hopefully in our travels we will meet up with the friends I have gotten to talk with over the building of our project. I need to get some windows in it, just looks like a cargo van. We are investigating having the window frames powder coated black, would be more durable then just painting, and having the windows lightly tinted.

Terry,
Nice job, it looks great, are you going to run reinforcements between the equalizer mounting tabs? They do bend also, don't ask how I know .
The truck and trailer look good together, I know they are not finished, but they still look good.
Frank

Terry, I think you had mentioned shortening the top of the truck. Looks like the height will be perfect after things are added to the roof of the 5er like roof AC, bathrrom vent. TV antenna, etc.

Wow, Terry!! Looks great!! I think you should just take the wind deflector off the top of your sleeper, and call it good!! Look's like it is a perfect match!! And that will be a lot less work!! Hahahahaha!! That little (Corn field caddy) won't even know it is back there!! A little trucker humor! Rail!
P.S. It looks like your turning clearance is close to your sleeper, you might slide your fifth wheel back a little bit?

Good Morning All, Thanks for the kind words, Frank check out post # 463 I posted pics of how I am reinforcing the hangers per Dexter suggestions, I could see how not doing that, could put stress on things. There was a post on this somewhere on here that had that problem. HH, right now the TH is 10' 3" once I add the AC unit (I don't know how tall they are) 12" inches more? I should be around 11' 3" or so, the truck as it is now is 12' 6", If I left the truck hooked up all the time it would be ok, but when I run around I still have to be looking for overhanging stuff. Besides I like the "Air Wings", I plan on building one (they look cool). Rail, my "cornfield caddy" ( I haven't heard that in yrs) I think will be a good match, I have to make alot of comfort changes inside to make it a long distance runner, I will chronicle my build on the hauler here also along with the TH, Yes, I am too close to the back of the cab, I am going to build a body on the back with a different 5th wheel, at that time I will move things back abit, I need around 4 or 5" more to be comfortable. Good Eyes!! thats what I like about this site there is alot of quality control people on here !

Terry,
Nice job on the reinforcements, I was asking about the equalizer hangers, I have bent them in the past.
