Nice job on the exhaust, are you going to route it into the stack of the truck to get it away from the living space? I agree that the super c's are nice, a guy in the park last year had one.

There was a company at Perry, that did custom Super C's on International chassis. Those new ones with the boat like front,,,, and all that chrome in the grill...

Anyway, they were in the $500k price range. Deb and I went in the ones that had on display,,,, not real fancy or anything like that, but very nicely done. The salesman said you sit with them and design your floor plan, and any features you want.

A little tight getting from the living space to the cockpit, but not bad. Had air ride seats, those would be nice!!

Good Afternoon, Gordon, You never know, I have thought about building a Super C.....maybe 45' or so twin screw rears and pull a stacker trailer. We will test out what we are building now and if we decide to full time, (pretty sure we are) by the time Eleanor retires it might be done, who knows LOL. Frank, I'm running the exhaust around the back of the compartment and it'll come out by the rear wheel. Lloyd, the International that your talking about is the Lone Star one of my favorites . The big thing with building a Super C out of a semi is the low cost of buying a chassis that will literally run reliably a million miles and can be worked on at any truck garage. I can buy a very good truck for 20 to 30,000. and actually have seen some going considerably cheaper.

Good Evening, Installed the genny today, installed the electrical plug in also. Now I can start the wiring process, it all starts at the plugin. Need to build the propane compartment so I can plumb the genny yet. This genny is a temp until I can find a diesel genset.

Looks good Terry, remember to run the exhaust to the drivers side, away from the patio area! What is your budget on a diesel generator, and I will keep a eye out for you? Rail!

MK,
Nice pic, The world of outlaw and modified tour groups run rigs like that as they tour the country running the circle tracks, They spend most of the summer and part of the spring and fall without going home, so the trailers carry 2 cars spare engines and about everything that they would need for the season.
Terry,
Did you get to finish some of the welding, or was it family time?
Frank

Good Morning, Frank, yesterday was a marathon welding exercise, but the rear body is all seam welded, now I need to smooth things out and get it ready to paint, (will have to wait until it warms up a little). I'll put up a temp spray booth. We stopped for Easter dinner and a little family time, but it was perfect weather wise. We now need to cut the doors in and build the compartments.

Terry,
Glad that you had a productive day. Rita is working every other day cleaning then 1 day in the office, I am working everyday for a couple of hours until the new couple gets here(hopefully soon). Had to order a new elec/hydraulic control unit for the trailer, couldn't get any pressure to build when I went to bleed the brakes on the trailer. It is supposed to be here tomorrow, then i can put the e-z flex on the left side and bleed the brakes. Only have a month before we are heading out, Still have to wash the roof and wash /wax the 5er.
Frank
